Private Lessons
Gina, and Gina & Ben together, offer private and small group lessons for those who want to advance their rope skills in a focused learning environment.
Private lessons allow us to focus on your particular learning desires, needs, and preferences so that you can learn exactly what you want to learn at your own pace instead of being subject to what is being taught in public group classes.
We teach out of my home in Oakland where I have a private room with a suspension frame where we can do floor tying or suspension, or we can come to you.
Information and Policies
Private lessons are for tying pairs (you and a partner), unless we’re covering self-tying.

If you want to learn to tie and do not have a partner, please reach out and I may be able to find someone interested in bottoming professionally for the lesson. Professional bottoms have their own separate fee.

If you’re interested in a 1:1 lesson, please reach out so we can discuss what is possible in a 1:1 setting. If we do a lesson 1:1, don’t expect to be able to tie all types of ties on my body. We will not be able to cover upper body ties involving the arms, as demonstration is not possible without a third person. 1:1 lessons are different than private tying sessions and are only for beginner-level topics.
90 min minimum for beginners, 2 hr minimum for partial or full suspension lessons.
24 hr cancellation notice, or full rate will be charged.

Some exceptions may be made in emergency scenarios, or if we can reschedule within a certain time frame. You must reach out to me to discuss.
During private lessons for tying pairs where I (Gina) am the sole instructor, I will demonstrate ties on the person bottoming for the lessons, with an educational intent only and within what is negotiated to be comfortable for all parties.

If you would like me to demonstrate ties on a different person, I will need 10 days of notice so that I can find an available rope bottom to work with, and there will be a fee per hour of instruction which will be paid to the person bottoming for me in the lesson. This fee will depend on the bottom’s rate. You can also choose to take a lesson with Ben and I where he demonstrates ties on me.
Ben and I offer private lessons where we are both present, and where he can demonstrate ties on me and include instruction on his own areas of specialty.

Ben’s areas of specialization include body manipulation and locking, incorporating Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tactics into rope play, tying bamboo onto the body (including in suspension)
